Venue: Main restaurant, Coworth Park Hotel, Ascott
Kwasi is the MP for our neighbouring constituency of Spelthorne. He is renowned, not only for his work as a Member of Parliament but also as an historian. He has authored, co-authored and advised on many books but most notable are two of his own books, War and Gold: A Five-Hundred-Year History of Empires, Adventures and Debt(2014) and Thatcher's Trial: Six Months That Defined A Leader (2015)
Dr Kwarteng attended Eton College as a King's Scholar. He then went on to study at Cambridge University where he read Classics and History at Trinity College. This was followed by a move to America to attend Harvard University courtesy of a prestigious Kennedy Scholarship. Kwasi then earned a PhD in Economic History at Cambridge University.
Within Parliament, Kwasi has been an MP since 2010, he sits on the Commons Finance Committee and was recently appointed as a Private Parliamentary Secretary to the Leader of the House of Lords.
