Welcome to the Conservative Women's Organisation – London Region.

The London Conservative Women's Organisation covers the 33 local authorities that make up Greater London which includes 73 parliamentary constituencies.

As the region is so large we have 3 Deputy Chairman, Southern, North West and North East. This is in line with the London Conservative party regional structure. Their role is to get to know local members and Agents, support existing CWO branches and encourage the formation of new ones.

Our aims are to encourage women to participate in politics locally and nationally within the party; also to raise awareness of and invite debate on issues that affect women or have an impact on women.

Membership of CWO offers many benefits. Here are just a few:

  • CWO Development - to help individuals with their personal and political development and to actively encourage more women to stand for public office as local Councillors, School Governors, JPs etc.
  • CWO Forums - an opportunity for women to discuss and debate direct with MPs and Ministers, particular issues affecting them
  • Campaigning and Networking

The CWO is the oldest women's political organisation in the world with an enviable heritage - First Female MP (Lady Astor), First Muslim Female in Cabinet (Baroness Sayeeda Warsi) and Britain's First Female Prime Minister (Baroness Margaret Thatcher).

I look forward to welcoming you to CWO London Region.
