We were pleased to hold our annual wreath laying at the statute of Emmeline Pankhurst in Westminster. This event is a long-standing tradition, so it was fantastic to be joined by so many of our women from across the country, our parliamentarians and Emmeline’s great-grandaughter Helen Pankhurst.
We were thrilled to be joined by Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities, Mims Davies MP, as well as our recently elected former Deputy Chair, Aphra Brandreth MP, and esteemed guests Tom Tugendhat MP, Lord Peter Booth, Baroness Sugg, Dame Maria Miller and Wendy Morton MP. Thank you to our CWO team for organising: Seema, Neeti, Rushi and of course our National Chairman, Pamela Hall.
Pamela Hall OBE said, “This is a lovely annual event where we recognise the contribution of Emmeline Pankhurst and celebrate women in Parliament.”
