Our annual Ask Her to Stand Event in conjunction with laying a wreath to commemorate the birthday of Emmeline Pankhurst was held on 14th July.
Over 40 new members joined to hear about becoming an MP and were invited to stand for public life whether as a Councillor, an Association Officer or as a Member of Parliament. We were joined by Party Chairman Andrew Stephenson MP and Helen Pankhurst CBE to lay the wreath to commemorate how much we owe to the Suffragists and Suffragettes who fought so hard for us all to have the opportunities we have today.
