CWO AGM May 11th 2024

Another fantastic year was celebrated at our Annual General Meeting, with guest speakers including Rachel Maclean, Anna Firth and Felicity Buchan, as well as a special appearance from our Party Chairman.

We gave a fond farewell and thanks to outgoing Deputy Chairman Aphra Brandreth and our long-serving treasurer Janet Parrott. However, we are delighted that Aphra accepted a position as Honorary Vice-President of the CWO.  We were also delighted to appoint our previous Chairman, Fleur Butler OBE, an Honorary Vice-President too.

The new officer team for 2024 were adopted: Pamela Hall, OBE – Chairman; Eve Burt – President; Neeti Gupta – Deputy Chairman; Susan Coleman – Deputy Chairman; Louise Brice – Deputy Chairman, Alix Mathieson – Secretary and Treasurer – Laura Evans.

Our national team is thankful to have the support of Seema Kumar for fundraising and events, Fleur Butler for Development; Rachel Okello for Campaigns; Ahmereen Reza for Diversity; Alex Marsanu – Conservative Young Women, Akhila Jayaram – Social Media and Nicole Richer – Data, as well as all of our wonderful regional chairmen too!

Chairman, Pamela Hall OBE made a well-received speech thanking everyone for a successful year, with increasing membership and a host of fundraising events: “It’s been another busy year for the CWO, lots of campaigning, fund-raising, policy debates at our conferences, bringing women together and supporting the core aim of the CWO to bring more women into public life. I’m delighted to have been re-elected as Chairman in this pivotal year for our Party and consolidating the role of the CWO as the best place for women to learn, grow and make a difference as Conservative Women.”
