CWO at Conservative Party Conference 2025

We were delighted to once again host a busy stand at this year’s Party Conference, which was a huge success, not least due to our Margaret Thatcher life-size images surrounding our stand.

Our North West team co-hosted a vibrant “Welcome to Conference” reception, featuring an outstanding line-up of speakers, including our Honorary Vice President Aphra Brandreth MP, Katie Lam MP, Mims Davies MP, Helen
Whately MP, Party Chairman Kevin Hollinrake MP, and President of the Convention Stewart Harper. We were also grateful to National Convention Chairman Julian Ellacott, CCHQ CEO Mark McInnes, and MPs Wendy Morton and
Helen Grant for their valued support and attendance. A huge thank you to the North West team, especially Rosie Redstone and Carrie Rooney for their organising and support! There was much interest in our ‘Ask Maggie’ competition, which even got a mention on ‘Have I Got News For You’!

We held two panels focused on key areas of our strategy: campaigning and business engagement.

At the first panel, we explored innovative techniques for voter engagement and generating voter intentions, led by stand-out campaigner and our CWO Treasurer, Laura Evans and our CWO Social Media Lead, Jane Austin.

Our business panel, chaired by Laura Evans, featured Rt.Hon Sir Mel Stride MP, and provided an insightful discussion on women’s leadership, enterprise, and the economic agenda. We were pleased to welcome and hear from Vivienne Aartz OBE, CEO of FTSE Women Leaders Review; Sussex Mayoral Candidate, Katy Bourne OBE; Dr. Isabella Moore CBE, the first female President of the British Chambers of Commerce, and our very own CWO Business and Enterprise Lead and entrepreneur, Tracy Stones.

We are deeply appreciative of the support from the Conference Team and our CWO colleagues from across the country, who organise our stand, attend our events and volunteer at conference to share our message. A huge thank you also to Women2Win, who co-hosted the stand with us.

Our conference events and networking opportunities continue to attract new members and ensure that our existing members continue to attend conference – to find out more about how you can get further involved in the CWO and for future events, please visit our sign up page!
