Wednesday 13th of July, in Parliament. 4pm and afterwards for the wreath laying.
This special event is looking for more women to stand as MPs. So Do YOU have what it takes to be an MP? Come and find out how to step forward and hear the exciting journeys of women MPs who have made it. Make this your first step towards entering public life. Women wait to be asked to stand in public life. So Ask a Woman to Stand and be part of the #Askhertostand campaign. We would love to welcome new women to this session who would like to know more OR bring along some one who might be interested.
Come and meet Helen Pankhurst who will speak about her amazing relation Mrs Pankhurst, Natalie Elphicke MP the Vice Chairman for women in the Conservative Party and Dame Maria Miller MP, previous minister and with a great reputation as a fighter for womens rights. Afterwards we will be walking to lay a wreath for Mrs Pankhurst as we have been doing since the 1930s. You are welcome to join us. Instructions will be given on the day. |
House Keeping: We will send out the security details the morning of the event, but you will need to bring identity to parliament, and show up at least 30 minutes before the event in order to get through the checks. Please be aware that for GDPR purposes by signing up to the event, you are agreeing that we share your details with those who have a legitimate reason to know who is attending.
