CWO London hosted an interactive and informative policy event with Gareth Davies MP, Shadow Financial Secretary, who previously served as Exchequer Secretary in Rishi Sunak’s administration. Gareth gave his views on current economic policy and was very generous with his time and responses to questions from the audience, brilliantly moderated by Helen Edward. It was also great to hear from Cllr. Ellie Cox, an Area Director in Financial Services, who spoke about priorities for business.
As always, a huge thanks to Helen Edward, Ajantha Tennakoon (CWO London Chair), Seema Kumar (National Fundraising Chair) and Neeti Gupta (National Deputy Chairman) for organising, and to National Deputy Chairman Louise Brice for also supporting the event, as well as Regional Chairman Tracy Stones for travelling all the way from Yorkshire too! And most importantly, thank you to all of our wonderful members for attending. We are very grateful to Gareth for giving up his evening for the CWO.
