It was wonderful to celebrate International Women’s Day at CCHQ with our Conservative Women’s Organisation team, Women2Win and some very special VIPs.
National Chairman, Louise Brice, took the opportunity to pay tribute to the many amazing women who volunteer to support more women to apply and become elected to public life, whether it be within the CWO, the Conservative Party or as representatives in their communities, as Councillors, MSPs or MPs.
We were joined by the Party Chairman – Kevin Hollinrake MP; Chairman of the National Convention – Julian Ellacott; Tori Peck from Women2Win and Ahmereen Reza and John Belsey from the National Convention Officer team.
It was also great to have with us our fantastic MP supporters Aphra Brandreth MP, Rebecca Harris MP – Opposition Chief Whip; and Shadow Minister for Women and Wales, Mims Davies MP.
It was a pleasure to thank our hardworking CWO team for all they do: President, Pamela Hall OBE, Director of Development and former CWO Chairman, Fleur Butler OBE; Deputy Chairman Tracy Stones, and all our volunteers, who give their time so generously.
We were especially grateful to Ajantha Tennakoon, our CWO London Chairman; Seema Kumar, CWO National Fundraising Lead and Neeti Gupta, Hon VP, for all of their assistance in organising the event with our National Chairman, Louise.
