SW CWO Conference 2025

South West CWO held their AGM & Conference in Ilminster, Somerset on Saturday 21st March. The CWO team organised a fantastic event, with panels on ‘South West Women Making a Difference’, the future of local government and hearing from some fantastic speakers, including rising star, Katie Lam MP and Baroness Barran of Bathwick.

It was attended by supporters from across the region as well as National Convention Chairman, Julian Ellacott, South West Regional Chairman, Marjorie Baylis MBE and Louise Brice, National Chairman of CWO.

Thank you to the wonderful SW role models: Cllr Laura Jones, Cllr Liz Brennan, Abbie Pierce and Cllr Lizzie Hacking for their contributions to the expertly chaired panel by Helena Penfold on ‘SW Women Making a Difference’.

A huge thank you to the organising team of Tamara Reay, Majorie Baylis, Lucy Trimnell, Dawn Denton, Sam Penfold, Juliet Pentolfe, Angie Foreman, Pru Maskell, Liz Brennan, and Janet Parrott for all their contributions and service to the CWO. A special thanks to our outgoing Regional Chairman, Tamara Reay for her contributions to the CWO National Executive and the South West team over the past three years, and congratulations to incoming new Chairman, Kay Martin.
