Eve Burt MBE

National Deputy Chairman

Eve Burt The Conservative Party, GirlGuiding and volunteering, have all given me opportunities for training and gaining new skills, and holding different roles and positions of responsibility, giving me a passion for women’s engagement at all levels of life.

I have held roles with the Party and CWO including Ward chairman, Young Conservative chairman and Area Officer, Deputy National Chairman CWO, Parliamentary liaison, CWO, Campaign manager for NE Bedfordshire, and trainer for CWO Development.

I am part of a team that has worked in partnership with WFD to work overseas on strengthening sister parties and women’s organisations. Learning to present policy, maintaining focus and action between elections, and the very nature of democracy of power sharing, building alliances etc., teambuilding, campaign planning, and the use of new and social media in campaigning.

Outside of politics I chair FACES Bedford, working with hard to reach families, and those under pressure from domestic violence, disability, CSE, post-natal depression and a variety of issues. I have led the organisation through a major restructure to become an independent charity, and to take over a local community centre.

Although no longer an active Guide leader, I am an Ambassador for Bedfordshire GirlGuiding following 22 years as a warranted leader, inc Quartermaster qualification, County Secretary Lancashire South East GirlGuiding and trainer.

My day job is Office Manager to Rt Hon Alistair Burt MP. I have two adult children and a granddaughter, and spare time is spent on politics, family, travel, film & theatre.
