The Making of the Domestic Abuse Bill
This is a special event to replace our CWO annual conference, and we are delighted to focus on celebrating the women MPs and the Baronesses in the Lords who worked so hard to bring the Domestic Abuse bill through Parliament.
Come and hear our female politicians speak of how the bill was built, and what the real process of law making is in Parliament. How NGOs work with politicians of all parties to together make the world a better place. This conference explains the real work of MPs in making law.
Top Speakers include:
Vicky Atkins MP, Parliamentary Under secretary of State for Safeguarding in the Home Office
Caroline Nokes MP, Chair of the APPG Women’s and Equalities Committee
Maria Miller MP
Invitations extended to Theresa May, Baroness Aiken, Baroness Williams – The speaker of the Lords.
Among the NGOs we have the story from parliamentary lobbyists from Refuge, Women’s Aid and other organisations who show how democracy works in making the world a better place.
