Aimed at candidates, we will discuss ways in which you can continue to develop your political CV.

Julie Marson MP
Julie is the MP for Hertford and Stortford after first being elected in December 2019. She previously contested the Dagenham and Rainham at the 2015 and 2017 general elections, increasing her vote share by 15.6 percentage points between the two elections. As an active member of the Treasury Select Committee and an energetic campaigner for her constituency, Julie has grown her profile significantly since becoming MP, with a Red Box article and features in national newspapers to her name. Julie was made a Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Ministry of Justice in September 2019, a role which compliments her previous role as a magistrate well.

Samantha George
Samantha stood as a Parliamentary Candidate in the City of Chester in the 2019 General Election, and previously in Sheffield Central in the 2005 General Election. She is a former Council Deputy Leader and is currently the Deputy Chair of Membership for North Derbyshire Conservative Association, covering 3 constituencies. Samantha is a Director in a large accountancy firm and is particularly focused on the technology and life sciences sectors.

Cllr Carolyn Renwick
Carolyn is a district Councillor and Cabinet member for Economic Growth at North East Derbyshire council and Chair of her Local Parish Council. A seasoned campaigner, having fought 4 parliamentary seats and 2 European elections and numerous council elections, but don’t let her serial loser status put you off – she hase learnt lessons along the way and is proud to serve our wonderful Party in whatever way she can.

Seena Shah
Seena stood as a parliamentary candidate for the Brentford & Isleworth seat in the 2019 general election. Prior to this, she stood in the 2019 Chelmsford City Council election. Seena is an active member of the Conservative Party, as former Chair CYW And current Chair of CWO Enterprise. She also holds the position of Head of Policy Engagement for Conservative Progress. Seena has built a strong career in marketing and business communications and is the Head of Marketing & Communications for InfraStrata plc, owner of the Harland & Wolff Belfast and Appledore shipyards.

CWO Beyond the Fringe
This year, in addition to hosting our regular events we will be hosting CWO Mini Series ‘Beyond the Fringe’.

CWO Mini Series
The CWO Mini Series are a number of events aimed at those at different sages of their political journey. The are 45 minute sessions to allow attendees can drop in during their lunch break or just after work, so join one that suits you.

NOTE: This is a CWO Development event. In order to attend CWO Development events and courses, you must hold valid and current Conservative Party membership.
