The Conservative Friends groups play an important role and offer opportunities to get involved in areas of interest. Come and find out more about these affiliate groups and what they do.

Carol Jackson-Doerge
Carol is a global corporate events and operations senior executive, leading strategic developments to achieve organisation’s goals. She advocates cross-functional leadership with 20 years’ experience in creating and directing global marketing strategies within the software technology and public sectors. Carol has been a local councillor and is a member of the Conservative Freinds of the Caribbean and the current CWO Area Chairman for Berkshire.

Nitza Chikerema
Nitza works as a Religious Studies teacher in a Catholic school in London, having completed her NQT in July 2019. She graduated twice from King’s College London with a BA Hons in Religion in the Contemporary World in 2014 and a PGCE in Religious Education in 2018. Nitza Chikerema is the NQT Ambassador for the Conservative Education Society (CES).

Pam Gosal
Pam was born in Glasgow and has lived the majority of her life in Scotland. Married with two sons, she was the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party Parliamentary candidate for East Dunbartonshire in the 2019 General Election. When she made this decision, she gave up a very senior position in Local Government so that she could focus solely on her campaign. Pam Co-Founded Scottish Conservative Friends of BAME (SCBAME) in July 2020; an umbrella organisation that brings together collective interests of the BAME communities in Scotland.

Katherine Mulhern
Katherine is a pragmatic senior executive with significant experience that spans work in both the private and voluntary sectors. Katherine was a senior law firm partner in private practice and has been the Chief Executive Officer of three leading human rights and development organizations based in West Africa, the UK and the United States. Katherine is Director of Conservative Friends of Development (CFID).

Rosie Redstone
Rosie works for the NHS, holds a Masters in Politics and is an active member of the Conservative Disability Group. She is the founder and chair of Congleton Young Conservatives, the Digital Officer of CWO North West and Conservative Young Women Regional Chair for Cheshire and Wirral. She is passionate about supporting people from all walks of life to get involved in politics and have their voices heard.

Meg Tretheway
Meg Trethewey is the Head of Programmes at the Conservative Environment Network (CEN). CEN is the independent forum for conservatives who support conservation and decarbonisation, including a Parliamentary Caucus, Councillor network and grassroots membership. Meg joined CEN after three years of working as a Parliamentary Researcher for an MP. During this time she led campaigns on marine energy and tackling plastics. She has a Masters in Environmental Policy and previously worked in public relations.

CWO Beyond the Fringe
This year, in addition to hosting our regular events we will be hosting CWO Mini Series ‘Beyond the Fringe’.

CWO Mini Series
The CWO Mini Series are a number of events aimed at those at different sages of their political journey. The are 45 minute sessions to allow attendees can drop in during their lunch break or just after work, so join one that suits you.
